The Hair Oil

Q. Why is your hair oil so good?
A. My brief hair history is I had very thick gorgeous healthy hair, in 2013 I went blonde and the top layer completely snapped off and for two years it was so weak it continued snapping, I could not get my hair back to how it was and I tried everything. When I starting using a version of this oil in 2015 I had unbelievable success in a very short space of time, whole new layers of hair rapidly grew along my centre parting and throughout my hair, my hairline thickened, and within months it was much stronger and barely any came out in the shower compared to the handfuls before, within a year I had fantastic hair. Then in 2016 I had cancer and again lost a lot of hair, but this oil grew my hair back so fast and strong it was truly something. My hair now is very long, thick and shiny, in excellent condition and I regularly get comments how good my hair is. I put it all down to this oil. I have used a version of this oil continuously for seven years, I will never stop using it. If I don’t use it for a few weeks because I’m away or tired or too busy I see a difference and I get a handful of hair coming out in the shower, the top layer will start to snap and I notice my hair line is thinner. Once I start using it again, I see a positive change and my hair is back to normal in a few weeks. You have to use this regularly, it will stop working if you don’t use it. But if you do use it you will thicken out your hair, extend your hairline (if you want it to) and your hair will grow very fast. You could call it a miracle and I wouldn't disagree with you. Use it religiously once or twice a week, no less, and you will see a difference in a few weeks. You can absolutely try it on your eyebrows, if the hair follicle isn’t dead they will grow back and thicker. It can also help with psoriasis and eczema on the scalp. Each ingredient is chosen specifically for its individual benefits and has not been diluted. I swear by natural ingredients but there are wildly different levels of quality which effect how well they work. All the ingredients in my hair oil are pure, cold pressed and of superb quality. Each bottle is individually mixed and hand made by me.

Q. How do you use it?
A. Give the bottle a shake first to mix the oils up and massage into your scalp (and along your hair line if you want that to grow), really massage it in, even the massage helps with hair growth. Know that it is a scalp, not a hair, treatment, so you only need to put it on your scalp, not the length of your hair (unless your hair is incredibly dry and damaged then go for it). You can use it heated, or not. If you find it’s not working so well for you try it warmed up as a hot oil treatment; heat the bottle in a pan or cup of hot (not boiling) water, for a few minutes before you apply. You just want to warm the oils up, it shouldn’t be too hot to apply that you burn your scalp (please be careful). You can use it whatever way you want that works for you as long as it is left on for at least 20 - 30 minutes at least once a week. Tie hair up, you can put a shower cap on or not, you can sleep with it on overnight (you may want to put a towel over your pillow) or not, it will all work. If you have very dry damaged hair or want it to grow very fast I would use it twice a week, leave it on for an hour or so and sleep with it on overnight at least once a week. If your needs are not as drastic twice a week is ideal but once a week is also ok. If you’re wanting to fill a bald spot or just thicken a hairline you can apply a very thin amount every day and leave on if it’s not too greasy for you. You will figure out what works best for your needs. For reference I maintain my hair using it once a week, sometimes twice if I have the time. If I have the time I leave it on for hours, until I need to shower and go out. Otherwise I leave it on 20-30mins.

Q. Any other recommendations?
A. I find the cheaper the shampoo the easier it comes out, I don’t waste my good shampoo washing it out. I use any brand baby shampoo or any clarifying shampoo. My main tip for applying is pour the oil on your fingertips, not your palms, then it’s easier to get it right on the scalp. I also suggest buying a tint applicator bottle with a pointed nozzle off ebay… you can pour the oil into that bottle and the pointed nozzle gets the product through the hair right onto the scalp.

Q. Any other tips for growing and thickening hair?
A. Yes. Cold water on your scalp is excellent for hair growth (and overall health, see Wim Hof method). Try and build up to 2 minutes as cold as you can at the end of a shower. Cold water makes your heart pump faster which increases blood flow and circulation throughout the body, an increase in blood flow means more nutrients and oxygen reach the scalp and hair grows faster. Exercise does the same but even better! Straightening irons are your enemy, there is nothing worse you can do to your hair. If you use one to curl your hair use a wand instead, If you use one to get your hair straight get regular Brazilian Hair Straightening treatments instead and your hair will be transformed in a year. (Brazilian straightening treatments must have formaldehyde in them to work, otherwise you are wasting your money. This is the best one.)

Q. Will it work on a bald head?
A. I don’t know, but i’ve always wanted a man to try it and find out. Maybe? I would sleep with it rubbed into the scalp every night and if it’s going to work you would know within a few weeks.

Q. What are the ingredients in your hair oil?
A. Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Moringa Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Olive Fruit Oil. I recommend giving it a shake before each use to fully mix the oils up.

Q. Are your oils made from all natural ingredients?
A. Yes all the ingredients are 100% natural, raw, unrefined, cold pressed and organic. They are all sustainable and ethically sourced.

Q. Are they vegan?
A. Yes

Q. Do I need to worry about allergies?
A. They are made with sweet almond oil so people with nut allergies should proceed with caution. If you would like me to make a nut-free hair oil please contact me.

Q. I am sensitive to fragrance, is there a fragrance?
A. There is no artificial fragrance or any essential oils so it has no “pretty” smell. Each oil has their own mild natural fragrance and Jamaican Black Castor Oil has a specific mild smokey smell, however none of these are particularly strong or overpowering and do not last once the oil is washed out.

Q. Is there any plastic in your packaging:
A. All my packaging is very eco-friendly. I use amber glass bottles with aluminium screw top lids, which protect the oils from light damage and are 100% recyclable, re-usable, non-toxic and sustainable. The bottle label is 100% biodegradable. The protective wrapping, envelopes, boxes and packing tape are made entirely from paper and are 100% recyclable and biodegradable.
